This smooth surface reduces water drag and eliminates all surging which can result from cross members. Troubled competition tries to achieve this feature by offering an optional, riveted skin of aluminum on the bottom of their cross members; skin which can trap moisture and actually accelerate wood rot.

In fact, we recently did a test comparing deck temperatures between one of our Veranda Luxury Pontoons and a competitors deck with similar colored vinyl flooring. Patented All-Aluminum Deck Mounting Surface
Veranda Luxury Pontoons aluminum structure provides a durable foundation for installation of railing, seats, and other components. Fasteners attached to the competition’s wood structure decking are more likely to break away or loosen over time.
Chambered Pressure Tested Pontoons Enclosed M-Deck Brackets
Veranda’s pontoons are large in diameter and designed to provide maximum flotation. Each pontoon has up to five structural baffles to provide added strength and rigidity. The m-deck brackets, which attach the pontoon to the decking, are capped and welded over to provide superior support and strength, eliminating stress caused by todays large outboard engines.
