The more support you can get under your logs, the better. If you are building a lift from scratch, we suggest a three-tier bunk in a v-shape, like our trailers, which won’t damage the pontoon keel on the bottom. For additional protection, consider wrapping the bunks with composite plastic, not carpet, especially if you are in salt water. We strongly recommend you contact a local construction company specializing in boat docks and lifts, that understands structural strength, and local regulations, and will get the job done right.
