Whether it is the foundation of all of our boats, construction, performance and ultimate value, rest assured this answer to why Veranda will be clear. Here are 9 reasons why Veranda is the right choice for you!

Company History

Veranda Luxury Pontoons began crafting luxury pontoons in 2006, but our fascinating story began several decades before with our sister company, Xpress Boats. Family-owned and operated for three generations, Xpress Boats has been building all-welded high-performance aluminum boats in Hot Springs, Arkansas, since 1966. The company understood that aluminum was stronger than fiberglass, lighter than steel, corrosion, and puncture-resistant. It does not deteriorate from exposure to the sun, making it the ideal substrate for building durable fishing and hunting boats. Rivets were commonly used by most aluminum boat manufacturers early on, but they weaken and break over time and cause boats to leak and perform poorly. The founder of Xpress Boats, Kermit Bryant, solved this dilemma by all-welding its hulls to ensure a long-lasting, quality product. This pioneering decision positioned his company and legacy as the leader in the aluminum boat industry and forever changed the way other manufacturers do business. Subsequently, after recognizing an inherent flaw in the manufacturing process of other pontoon companies who created wood decks that rot, absorb water, mold, and mildew, or as we like to say “pre-determined obsolescence,” Xpress Boats used their innovative knowledge and created a Patented All-Aluminum All-Welded, Interlocking Deck System in 2004, and two years later, officially launched Veranda Luxury Pontoons.

Improved Infrastructure

Over the years, Veranda Luxury Pontoons has continued to refine its manufacturing process and provide the opportunity for thousands of customers to discover the rewarding benefits of boating while making memories that last a lifetime. In 2018, after outgrowing its existing space, Veranda purchased a 377,000 square foot state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Malvern, Arkansas, just three miles south of Xpress Boats. Veranda remodeled the plant for maximum production efficiency, which additionally opened the door for an expansion in engineering technology and workforce capabilities and was the birthplace of the newly released revolutionary designed V One. The in-house parts fabrication area received state-of-the-art manufacturing technology including CNC plasma tables, press brakes, tube benders, and plate rollers. Due to the abundant space at the new facility, Veranda can store all of the parts and products under one roof until the completion of a boat. Lastly, the implementation of state-of-the-art computer-aided design and engineering software is allowing our team keeps looking forward and working out new and improved boating solutions to provide you with a lifetime of enjoyment. Continually searching for new ways to provide our customers with maximum enjoyment for their hard-earned investment, Veranda not only expanded its facility, but also its workforce by hiring additional team members for our manufacturing, engineering, sales, and marketing departments. The tenured engineers and technicians keep Veranda nimble, innovative, and in front of design and performance trends. Competitive rates, excellent benefits, and comprehensive skill training make getting a job at Veranda very appealing for talented people in our region.

Superior Construction

The innovative construction techniques at Veranda allow us to produce the most stable and solid foundation in the industry that is ideally suited for luxury styling and best-in-class components from bow to stern. Our innovative construction techniques, which we like to call the “Veranda Difference” provide a boating solution like no other, starting with the building of the industry-leading 0.100 gauge pontoon tubes. Our toons are multi-chambered and pressure tested during the build process. We then weld full-length, enclosed m-brackets to the top of each pontoon that will be the saddle for our most impressive feature, the Patented, All-Aluminum, All-Welded, Interlocking Deck System. Veranda builds this engineering marvel from Patented Extruded Aluminum Planks which are locked together, one by one. Each pontoon log is flipped over so that the full-length, enclosed m-bracket sits on top of the deck and then welded together. The unibody foundation eliminates flex and noise and produces the strongest, worry-free platform in the industry. Another impressive benefit to the Patented, All-Aluminum, All-Welded, Interlocking Deck System is the Aluminum Deck Mounting Surface, which is perfectly suited for mounting fencing, helms, furniture, and ski tow bars as it will never weaken over time, unlike our competitor’s plywood decks.

Exceptional Performance

Performance is a huge factor in almost every customer’s wish list when shopping for a new pontoon. Every single model that rolls off the assembly line at Veranda Luxury Pontoons comes standard with a Triple-toon Performance Package that includes hydraulic tilt steering, full-length lifting strakes, and our integrated performance motor pod. The trio of components provides exceptional performance, greater capacity, increased horsepower capability, increased lift, less resistance, better maneuverability, and higher speed. Customers can also choose to upgrade to power steering which makes handling the tightest turns a breeze. Finally, our exclusive partnership with Yamaha Outboards provides legendary reliability for our customers. Our integrated wave shield, which we will discuss later in this video, reduces drag and eliminates surging to provide increased performance.

Enormous Value

Every Veranda Luxury Pontoon that leaves our plant has been meticulously inspected to ensure the highest level of quality, performance, aesthetics, and function. Customers will relish the confidence of knowing they have chosen the finest deck system in the industry, with exquisite best-in-class components, durable marine-grade vinyl, polyurethane foam seating, and the reliability of Yamaha Outboards. Our no wood, not rot, Patented, All-Aluminum, All-Welded, Interlocking Deck System means your investment will not depreciate over time, unlike our competitor’s “pre-determined obsolescence.” Together, this provides maximum resale value when the time comes to upgrade to another Veranda.

Industry Leading Comfort

Comfort is yours for the taking! Your passengers will never want to return to land once they’ve experienced the deep soothing amenities on your Veranda. Our polyurethane foam seating comes in a variety of styles and is infused with antimicrobial additives and UV protectants. The high foam density used in our seat backs and cushions provides maximum comfort and support where your body needs it most. Our furniture pieces are then wrapped and fitted with marine vinyl fabric that is mold-resistant and antimicrobial/UV-protected to ensure longevity. Another convenience we built into our buying process is package options, whether you choose the base, deluxe, or luxury, which is available on our Relax and Fish series. Each package level includes additional standard features grouped to provide additional satisfaction while boating. If variety is the spice of life then you’d better prepare yourself for the robust floor plan options available to you. Whether it’s the rear-chaise, or RC as we call it, vera lounge captain’s chair (VLC), or one of our Relax or Vista Fish models, we have a floor plan that best fits your boating needs and desire.

Square Footage

Veranda Luxury Pontoons builds several different length models. Whether in our catalog or on our website, the deck length listed on each Veranda model we build is accurate, you get what you pay for. Our floor plans are designed to provide the maximum square footage of usable deck space. Finally, the installation of our ergonomically designed furniture, which we will discuss in further detail in a minute, enhances your comfort and increases cabin space, giving you the perfect blend of swim platform, interior walkway, seating, and storage on your Veranda.
